Assistant Principal, Susan Adewusi - Grades 9-12
Ms. Susan Adewusi is a graduate of Cincinnati Public Schools. Ms. Adewusi earned a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Business, Master’s Degree in Special Education, and her licenses in Educational Administration from Xavier University.
Ms. Adewusi has been an Intervention Specialist and Transition Coordinator in the Cincinnati Public School District for 16 years. All of Ms. Adewusi’s years of teaching have been with students from various academic backgrounds, but mainly focusing on Students with Special Academic Needs.
As an educator Ms. Adewusi believes that teaching young minds is a task that cannot be taken lightly. It is full of challenges, and responsibilities. However, it is a task that is also full of excitement, wonder, and joy. She strongly believe that all children are capable of learning, if they have the proper motivation and direction from all educators they happen to encounter. Ms. Adewusi is also a mother of two remarkable children.
Assistant Principal, Drew Renner: Grades 7-8
Mr. Renner earned his Master’s Degree in Middle Childhood Education with a focus in Math and Science from Xavier University and he earned his license in Educational Administration through the University of Cincinnati’s Master’s in Educational Administration program. He enjoys rootingfor Bearcats Football and supporting Musketeer Basketball.
Mr. Renner taught science for seven years in grades 6-8 at Mason City Schools and Oak Hills Local Schools. During his teaching tenure he obtained his license as a Gifted Intervention Specialist and taught gifted math to 5th and 6th graders at Finneytown Local Schools.
This is Mr. Renner’s first year as an administrator and he is very thankful to spend it within the city of Cincinnati and serving the students at Gilbert A. Dater High School. Mr. Renner believes in public education and recognizes the importance of creating a climate and culture that
encourages students to recognize their full potential and to make the most of their education in order to be a better person and to have limitless possibilities in their career pursuit.
Mr. Renner is a proud husband of his wonderful wife, and a proud father of two young boys and a new addition to the family that will arrive in January of 2019.
