Dater High School Athletics and Western Hills University High School

Coming Together as One!

Dater High School and Western Hills are two separate schools but we operate as one athletic program. Cougars and Mustangs Run the West — We Are The West! #GoWest

Dater High School has the pleasure of working in collaboration with Western Hills High School staff and facilities to provide Dater students with an assortment of extracurricular opportunities.  Students in grades 7 and 8 can play for our very own Dater Cougars, while students in grades 9 through 12 will play for the Western Hills Mustangs. Please note that if you are a student in grades 7 and 8 and you are interested in a sport not offered as a Dater Cougar, you are more than welcome to play for the Western Hills Mustangs.

If you want to play athletics, students and parents/guardians must register on Final Forms.

Cincinnati Public Schools believes that students' participation in school-sponsored athletic activities improves academic achievement and should be part of a well-rounded education. Dater and Western Hills offer a variety of athletic activities for Grade 7-12.

Chloe Mayfield-Brown

From Dayton, Ohio and was a 4 year Varsity basketball player at Thurgood Marshall High School. Played one year of JUCO basketball at Sinclair College. Graduated undergrad in 2018 with a B.S. in Sports Science and earned a Master's Degree from Univ. of Cincinnati in Sport Administration in 2021. My goal for this athletic department is for everyone to have a growth mindset: "success begins with believing you can."
